Short description
With regard to its new enhanced activities, the WBC-INCO.NET project organises the 1st Innovation Dialogue Forum focusing on the innovation status in the region, as described in its new WorkPackage "Innovation Support".

The main target of the extended project's activities is to foster coordination and cooperation between innovation stakeholders in the region, in order to develop common research and innovation strategies and to draw up corresponding joint actions.
Description
In this regard, each year an Innovation Dialogue Forum is to be organised, each time in a different WBC, aiming at discussing the current national innovation systems (stressing barriers and advantages), with a view to addressing the innovation demands of the region towards the establishment of a functional regional innovation system. In this aspect,  future funding mechanisms and other collaborative activities will be developed.

The meetings (in English language) are open to all, and function as incubators for feeding new information in the planned activities within the WP "Innovation Support" resulting to the development of an Action Plan for innovation in the region.

Consequently, the 1st IDF will tackle innovation issues, in three different sessions, focusing on the innovation system in each WBC, as well as on regional prospects and EU experiences .The aim is to obtain outlook of the national innovation systems and mostly of the regional innovation demands through fruitful discussions. The outcome of the IDF will serve as a basis for defining the upcoming surveys in the project.

Target group: experts at national, regional and European level, policy makers, representatives from research, industry and business sector coming from the WB region are welcome to participate sharing their experience and views with regard the establishment of a regional innovation system.
