The Zentrum für Soziale Innovation (ZSI) is a social scientific research institute contributing to the advancement and application of social innovation by research, education, co-ordination of networks and policy advice."

The ZSI coordinates several projects with focus to South Eastern Europe and especially the integration of researchers in the so-called Western Balkan countries into the European Research Area (ERA).
The Information Office of the Steering Platform is one of these projects, another one is the South-East European ERA.NET.
