Zones

All WBC-INCO.NET databases (news, events, calls, documents, links, organisations, projects and research infrastructures) are technically available in five different zones: Public zone, My zone, Team zone, NCP zone and Steering Platform zone.

Depending on your user role (Registered user, Team member, NCP member, SP member, Editor or Administrator) you are able to access and submit content to different zones: Team member zone, NCP zone, SP zone or Public zone.

Please note: not registered users have no access to My zone!

Public zone:

While most parts of the WBC-INCO.NET website are publicly visible, you need to create and log into your personal account e.g. to submit your own articles or to access personal contact information provided by other users (unless they have agreed that their contact information is made publicly available for all our visitors or unless they want to keep their contact details private).

Unless you are editor or administrator - your submission to public zone will be reviewed and needs to be approved by an administrator before becoming publically available. In such cases – you will be automatically informed. Please understand that this process may take a few days and that entering information anew will not speed it up.

My zone:

As a registered user, you have in this area an overview on your own activities at WBC-INCO.NET portal. By indicating scientific field, geographical focus and countries you are interested in, all related information will automatically be brought to your personal zone.

In general, all users have the access to the following pages within their own zone: My interests, My notices, My items. In addition, you will also find an overview section in your zone including the information on:

Articles you could be interested in
My latest notices (your latest items posted on a notice board)
My drafts (your articles you are still working on)
My items waiting to be approved (your articles submitted for approval)
My items that are online (thank you!)

Team zone:

In this restricted area only team members will be able to read, upload or download information.

NCP zone:

In this restricted area only NCP members will be able to read, upload or download information.

Steering Platform zone:

In this restricted area only Steering Platform members will be able to read, upload or download information.

Please note:

Submissions which do not conform with the mission of the WBC-INCO.NET project (such as commercial information and advertisement, information related to regions not covered by the project etc.) or which are considered as inappropriate for any other reason will not be approved by the moderator.

WBC-INCO.NET preserves the right to modify submissions and to delete information which has become obsolete without further notice.
